Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This is an English translation. The Spanish version prevails in case of any discrepancy.

1. Purpose of this policy

The purpose of this Cookie and Similar Technologies Policy is to provide clear and complete information on the use of cookies, local storage technologies and any other devices for storing or retrieving information on the website https://www.banatria.com/ and its corresponding versions, pages and subdirectories (the “Website”).

The owner of the Website is BANATRIA, S.L., Tax ID (N.I.F.) B93833887, with registered office at C/ Los Prados, 166, Edificio Impulsa, 33203 Gijón, Asturias, Spain, and email address info@banatria.com.

This Policy should be read together with the Website's Legal Notice, Terms and Conditions of Use and Privacy Policy.

2. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files or storage devices that may be downloaded to the device used by the User (for example, a computer, mobile phone or tablet) when accessing certain web pages.

Among other things, cookies allow a web page to store and retrieve information about the User's browsing or device, remember certain preferences, enable certain services to work properly or, depending on the information they contain and how the device is used, help to recognise the User.

Not all cookies have the same purpose, and not all require the User's consent. The applicable rules also cover other technologies which, although not technically cookies, allow information to be stored on the User's terminal equipment or information already stored there to be accessed.

3. Other storage technologies

In addition to traditional cookies, websites may use other technologies for storing or retrieving information, such as browser local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, web beacons or other technically equivalent mechanisms.

For transparency, in this Policy BANATRIA reports not only on cookies but also on any local storage technology currently used by the Website.

4. Types of cookies by the entity that manages them

4.1. First-party cookies

Cookies managed by the website owner itself which, in general, are sent to the User's device from equipment or a domain managed by the publisher and from which the requested service is provided.

4.2. Third-party cookies

Cookies managed by an entity other than the website owner, which may be sent to the User's device from equipment or a domain managed by a third party. Certain cookies technically served from the publisher's domain may also be considered third-party cookies when the information obtained through them is used by a third party for its own purposes.

In the current configuration of BANATRIA's Website, neither first-party nor third-party cookies are used.

5. Types of cookies by purpose

5.1. Technical or necessary cookies

They allow users to browse a website and use its options, features or services. They may be used, among other purposes, to manage data communication, maintain a session, control traffic, apply security measures or remember certain options expressly requested by the User.

5.2. Preference or personalisation cookies

They remember information so that the User can access the service with certain characteristics that may distinguish their experience, such as language, appearance or certain display options.

5.3. Analytics or measurement cookies

They allow the behaviour of Users to be monitored and analysed, the activity of the website to be measured and statistical information about its use to be obtained in order to make improvements. BANATRIA does not currently use analytics or measurement cookies or technologies on the Website.

5.4. Advertising cookies

They are used to manage advertising space according to certain criteria. BANATRIA does not currently use advertising cookies.

5.5. Behavioural advertising cookies

They store information about Users' behaviour obtained by continuously observing their browsing habits in order to build profiles and display advertising based on them. BANATRIA does not currently use behavioural advertising cookies or track Users for advertising purposes.

6. Types of cookies by duration

6.1. Session cookies

Cookies designed to collect and store information while the User accesses a website, which generally disappear when the session ends or the browser is closed.

6.2. Persistent cookies

Cookies whose information remains stored on the User's device for a period set by the party responsible for the cookie, which may range from a few minutes to several years.

BANATRIA's Website does not currently use session cookies or persistent cookies.

7. Cookies currently used by BANATRIA

In the Website's current technical configuration, BANATRIA does not install or use cookies on the User's device.

In particular, the Website does not currently use:

  • analytics or measurement cookies;
  • advertising cookies;
  • behavioural advertising cookies;
  • cookies intended for profiling;
  • tracking cookies;
  • social media cookies;
  • personalisation cookies;
  • third-party cookies; or
  • web analytics tools that install cookies or equivalent tracking technologies.

Likewise, in the current technical configuration, the fonts and other resources needed to display the Website are served from the infrastructure used by BANATRIA itself, without any need to connect to external third-party services to load them.

BANATRIA therefore has no list of cookies to identify by name, provider or expiry period, since the Website does not install cookies.

8. Local storage technologies used

Although the Website does not use cookies, it does use a browser local storage feature (localStorage) solely to remember the appearance preference selected by the User.

The current inventory of storage technologies used by the Website is as follows:

TechnologylocalStorage
OwnerBANATRIA, S.L.
PurposeRemember the chosen display
InformationLight or dark theme
DurationUntil the User deletes the data or resets the preference
ConsentNo, as it is functional and responds to a setting requested by the User

The sole purpose of this storage is to save the User from having to select their display preference again each time they visit the Website.

The stored information remains in the User's browser and is used only to remember the chosen option; it has no advertising or analytics purpose, is not used for profiling or to track browsing on other websites, and is not shared with third parties for advertising, analytics or tracking purposes.

9. Why is no consent banner currently shown?

Article 22.2 of the LSSI-CE generally requires information to be provided and consent to be obtained for the use of data storage and retrieval devices on the User's terminal equipment, without prejudice to the exceptions provided by law.

In its current configuration, BANATRIA does not use cookies subject to consent. The only storage technology used consists of saving the light or dark theme preference locally when the User chooses to change that setting, solely to remember the option they expressly selected.

Given its strictly functional purpose and the current configuration of the Website, BANATRIA does not currently use a consent banner or consent management platform. This does not prevent clear information about this technology from being provided through this Policy.

10. No analytics, advertising or tracking

BANATRIA does not currently use tools to analyse Users' browsing, measure audiences using technologies subject to consent, deliver personalised advertising or track User activity.

Any future inclusion of such tools will be reviewed beforehand to determine the applicable information and consent obligations.

11. Resources and fonts

In the current configuration, the fonts, style sheets, scripts and other resources used for the presentation and ordinary operation of the Website are served from the infrastructure used by BANATRIA. The Website does not currently require the User's browser to connect to external third-party services to load fonts or tracking resources.

12. Contact form and anti-abuse mechanism

The Website has a contact form. To protect it against spam, automated submissions and abuse, BANATRIA uses a technical mechanism that temporarily generates hash identifiers associated with the sender's email address and IP address.

This mechanism is not a cookie and is not stored in the User's browser. The identifiers are processed on the infrastructure used by BANATRIA and kept for a maximum of one hour, after which they are deleted. This processing is explained in more detail in the Privacy Policy and should not be confused with the local storage covered by this Policy.

13. Managing and deleting local storage

Users can delete the information stored locally by the Website at any time using their browser's settings. The exact name of these options varies by browser and may appear under terms such as “site data”, “site storage”, “cookies and site data” or equivalent.

Deleting this data may cause the Website to stop remembering the selected theme and return to its default setting. The User can then select their preferred appearance again.

14. Cookie settings in the browser

Although BANATRIA does not currently use cookies, the main browsers allow Users to control, block or delete cookies and other data stored by websites. Users can find the relevant instructions in their browser's documentation and settings.

Blocking certain technologies across the board through browser settings may affect how other websites or services used by the User work, although it is not currently necessary to accept cookies to browse BANATRIA's Website.

15. Future addition of new cookies or technologies

This Policy reflects the Website's technical configuration on the date shown at the top of this document. BANATRIA may change the Website's features in the future and add new tools or services.

Before or when adding technologies that involve the use of cookies or other devices for storing or retrieving information, BANATRIA will analyse their nature and purpose and, where necessary, adapt this Policy, the information provided to the User, the available settings and the systems for obtaining, managing and withdrawing consent.

In particular, if cookies or technologies for analytics, advertising, tracking, profiling or other functions subject to consent are added in the future, they must not be activated before the User has validly given consent, where consent is legally required.

16. Processing of personal data

Certain cookies or similar technologies may involve the processing of personal data. Any processing of personal data carried out through the Website shall also be governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), and any other applicable provisions.

Information on the data controller, purposes, legal bases, retention, recipients and the rights of data subjects is available in BANATRIA's Privacy Policy.

17. Criteria of the supervisory authorities

In interpreting and applying this Policy, BANATRIA will take into account the criteria and guidance published by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) and, where appropriate, by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), without prejudice to the legal nature of each of those instruments.

BANATRIA will review the Website's configuration whenever relevant technical or regulatory changes occur that may affect the use of cookies or similar technologies.

18. Updates to this policy

BANATRIA may update this Policy when regulatory, technical or functional changes occur, when new services or technologies are added, or when its content needs to be adapted to new criteria of the competent authorities. Where a change materially affects the consent regime, BANATRIA will take the necessary steps to request consent again where legally required.

19. Language

This Policy may be available in Spanish and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Spanish version shall prevail, unless an applicable mandatory rule provides otherwise.

20. Contact

For any query about the use of cookies, local storage or similar technologies on the Website, Users may contact BANATRIA, S.L., C/ Los Prados, 166, Edificio Impulsa, 33203 Gijón, Asturias, Spain, at info@banatria.com.
